Mike Manclark's MANGIC Foundation Defibrillators Now Saving and Changing Lives

Every year, over a quarter of a million Americans suffer cardiac arrests outside of hospitals, and as many as 7,000 of them are children. What’s even more shocking is that many of those deaths could be prevented simply by having quick access to a handheld defibrillator.

Knowing that more than 95 percent of all cardiac arrest victims die before reaching the hospital and that chances of survival plummet by as much as 10 percent a minute without CPR and defibrillation, Mike Manclark and the MANGIC Foundation have committed to putting the life-saving devices in more public spaces to increase the chances of survival. So far, that commitment has paid off tremendously.

The MANGIC Foundation was built on the idea that even small things can make a tremendous impact when they empower communities with the right resources.

In the past few months alone, three lives were saved thanks to defibrillators donated by Mike Manclark and the MANGIC Foundation. With lives being saved in just the past few months, Manclark knows the trend will keep rising as more of these devices are in public spaces.

Also, Manclark hopes that citizens in these areas take notice of the devices around them. In certain instances where someone needs help, people panic and do not know what to do. Because of the awareness of these devices, more citizens will react quicker and with confidence to save lives. Another aspect of these devices being placed in public areas will let citizens take classes to learn the basics of the device. The more people know how to use these important devices, the more chances of survival for people in need.

“The MANGIC Foundation was built on the idea that even small things can make a tremendous impact when they empower communities with the right resources,” said Mike Manclark, Founder, and President, MANGIC Foundation. “Donating defibrillators seemed like a simple but powerful way for us to make a real difference in people’s lives. For hundreds of thousands of cardiac victims, the only thing that stands between them and their life is quick access to these machines. We are incredibly humbled to know that we’re already saving lives, and we hope to continue to build on this success in the years ahead.”

Launched in 2012 by successful entrepreneur Mike Manclark, the MANGIC Foundation was built on the premise of taking the passion, drive, and creativity used for success in the business world and applying it to make real change in the real world. The MANGIC Foundation believes in hands-on work that gives people a hand up and making a tangible difference in the lives of those they help.

Every year, the MANGIC foundation supports dozens of nonprofits and causes that support children, armed forces and first responders and families in need.
