BAKERSFIELD, Calif., August 21, 2017 (Newswire.com) - A master chef who aims to bring the best of European cuisine to people in the United States, specifically in the city of Bakersfield, California, Andrew De Niese is the host of a new show that aims to take people on a culinary joy ride from the comfort of their home. The show will be graced by renowned chefs from all over the world who would be showing the best of their cuisines. They would further be asked to cook a preparation which would be something never seen before but would be a great way of bringing forward their culinary traditions and flavors. The first chef to grace Andrew De Niese’s show has chosen to focus on dishes from the south of the United States’ border.
Although Bakersfield is a popular hot spot with a plethora of attractions to remember, a culinary show like this is something the city has never experienced before. The first episode, showing the best dishes of the south of the border, has already been filmed and would be aired in the next few days to satiate culinary fans all across the city.
Along with the guest chef in each episode, Andrew De Niese would be cooking a dish as well, in order to compete with the dish cooked by the guest chef. Andrew De Niese would have to cook something unique that represents the best of European cuisine, with no repetitions at all. Both the chefs would be preparing a four-course meal, including a starter, a main course, a palate cleanser and last but not the least, the dessert. After careful deliberations, a decision on the best dish would be made, as well as a decision on the best overall menu. According to Andrew De Niese, the show aims to take the audience in a never-experienced before culinary bliss. He feels that while European cuisine is one of the best, he is looking forward to trying the best of other cuisines too and even accept defeat if the audience prefers the other cuisine over his preparations.
Andrew De Niese’s show has gained viral popularity in the city of Bakersfield, with people everywhere discussing the culinary delights the show would bring forward. As a matter of fact, the people of Bakersfield have requested Andrew De Niese to be a part of projects taking place in and around the city to promote the community spirit. A local college has asked him to give a speech about the culinary history of Europe while another institution has requested him to conduct cooking classes in their facility. Andrew De Niese is likely to give his nod to the proposals provided he is able to eke out time from his busy schedule.
Andrew De Niese also aims to write a recipe book with a difference. Through his book, he wants to connect to the people and show them the way to cook simple yet wholesome meals without breaking a sweat. His book would also contain tips and tricks from the best chefs in the world and would also capture some of the enthusiasm of the TV show among the pages.
The first episode also involved a “cook-off,” where several guests chosen at random from the audience got the opportunity to select any three dishes and to determine the overall champion of the episode. The guests chose Andrew De Niese’s grilled octopus tacos and compared it to the rival chef’s winter salad. They then chose Andre De Niese’s charred flank steak while comparing it to the whole roasted chicken with root mash prepared by his competitor. The final comparison was done on the desserts, between the Black Forest Cake and the chocolate ice cream. As a bonus, the entire audience was also served two cocktails personally prepared by Andrew De Niese, the Last Oxacan containing citrus fruits, and I Woke Up in Tijuana which consisted of lemon, cayenne, and Sazerac rye. Andrew De Niese also plans to organize a live open air cooking show, specifically for the audience, where they would get to enjoy appetizers and cocktails followed by a full four-course meal created by a chef desired by the audience. He also plans to have a head-to-head competition among all the chefs appearing in the show, with the winner getting the title of “Bakersfield Most International Chef.”
Tickets are in short supply for this spectacular culinary event and are already selling out rapidly. Every person attending the show would be able to have a bit of all the dishes cooked on the show.
