Craig Sanders of Indianapolis, the CEO of Athlete's Business Network, is a Visionary Entrepreneur

Craig Sanders, the CEO of Athlete’s Business Network (ABN), is a visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist whose ambitions to come up with innovative business opportunities came to life in 2009 when he co founded ABN, an investment and management platform in Indianapolis.

Athlete’s Business Network is not only a branding and investment platform but also a company that engages in philanthropic activities while promoting sponsors.

The Athlete's Business Network brings professional athletes, well-versed executives, and investors together from a wide variety of industries including sports goods, retail, real-estate, and healthcare.

Athlete’s Business Networks purpose is to create more jobs and stimulate the economies of the communities in they operate. However, the CEO of the business network has also created a branch ABN Health to help veterans and athletes deal with brain damage caused by physical activity.

At its core, ABN Health is an organization that focuses on researching sports medicine and encouraging athletes and veterans to improve their quality of life.

In order to achieve this, they’ve established a number of support centers in campuses, hospitality venues, and retail stores.

Craig Sanders also believes there are many similarities between the athletes and veterans when it comes to brain injuries as well as other physical activity related injuries. Also, within Athlete’s Business Network Health offers a multidisciplinary treatment that is used to help athletes return to their activity after an injury.

Athlete’s Business Network health is focused on improving all aspects of life for athletes and military personnel. Aside from injuries resulting from physical activity, they also provide support for those dealing with substance abuse, addictions, and productivity issues.

Substance abuse and addictions are a common coping behavior in stressful situations found both in sports and on the battlefield. The goal of ABN Health is to help athletes and veterans live a healthier, happier life free from addiction. To accomplish this, ABN Health gives athletes and military personnel access to many types of sports medicine that improve fitness and help them thrive both professionally and personally.

Lastly, Athlete’s Business Networks Health recently opened a new treatment center geared towards brain health, specifically brain injuries and concussions. Traumatic brain injuries are among the most common brain injuries, Over $300 million is invested in researching and treating this type of injury.

The NFL invested in research after receiving a number of lawsuits from players who developed brain injuries due to physical activity. In some cases, the injuries even led to death. As a consequence, fewer young players are interested in transforming their passion for sports into a profession, especially in soccer and football.

Brain injuries are a real concern. Craig Sanders believes it is important to encourage young players not to give up on their dreams out of fear but to learn how to live a healthy lifestyle and continue their activity safely. ABN Health is supported by the US military since many active personnel and veterans suffer from traumatic brain injuries and post traumatic disorders.

The Intrepid research and treatment center was launched with the sole purpose of helping active military personnel and veterans in their struggles with traumatic brain injuries and post traumatic disorder. Like ABN Health, the Intrepid research center is focused on a holistic approach that includes lifestyle changes and addiction therapy, among others.

In Craig Sander's vision, ABN Health is about gaining a deeper understanding of how physical activity in sports and the military impacts the human brain. Helping athletes and veterans live a healthier lifestyle is the mission of the ABN Center for Brain Health, which is supported by research institutes and non-profit organizations.

Craig Sander has also created the ABN Foundation, which focuses on helping retired athletes or veterans with housing and helping talented yet financially disadvantaged young people thrive in sports.
